1st Partridge in a pear tree. (Jesus)

2nd Two turtle doves. (Old & New Testament)

3rd Three french hens. (Faith-Hope-Love)

4th Four calling birds. (Four Gospels-Matthew-Mark-Luke-John)

5th Five golden rings. (The Pentateuch-Genesis-Exodus-Leviticus-Numbers-Deuteronomy)

6th Six geese a laying. (Six days of creation)

7th Seven swans a swimming. (Seven gifts of the spirit-
wisdom,knowledge,healing,miracles,prophecy,discernment,interpretation)
 *Notice that tongue and their interpretation was left out.

8th  Eight maids a milking. (The Eight Beatitudes-Matthew 5:3-10)

9th Nine ladies dancing. (Nine fruits of the spirit-love,joy,peace,long-suffering,gentleness,goodness,faith,meekness,temperance)

10th Ten lords a leaping. (Ten Commandments-Exodus 20:1-17)

11th Eleven pipers piping. (Eleven apostles minus Judas-Andrew,Peter,James,John,Philip,Bartholomew,Thomas,Matthew,James(the son of Alphaeus), Lebbaeus, Simon(the Canaanite).

12th Twelve drummers drumming (The twelve points of doctrine in the Apostles' Creed)

*The holy catholic church was a symbol for the universal church
